Fill Out the Arts Impact Endowment Poll By Tonight, January 25, 11:59pm

Want to chime in about how Prop E money will be spent? Last November, SF voters approved Proposition E which allocates a portion of hotel tax revenues for arts and cultural purposes.

Please take a few minutes to complete this survey, which ranks your allocation priorities.

We know artists and arts orgs face so many challenges, so you really can't go wrong with any of these answers. But as a supporter of Bindlestiff, we hope that at least one of your priorities includes: "Protect and sustain spaces for arts & culture".

The poll closes TONIGHT! Jan 25th 11:59pm, so please fill out before then.

THE LOVE EDITION: FALLING HARD

Tickets On Sale NOW

Bindlestiff Studio is bringing back the love to its black box theater in the SoMa Pilipinas Cultural Heritage District with its most celebrated short play series The Love Edition: Falling Hard, running from Valentine’s Day February 14 - March 2, 2019. Exploring the emotional twists and turns of love and relationships, The Love Edition (TLE) is a short play festival that captures the complex nuances of love stories. Through comedy, drama, and mixed media, The Love Edition: Falling Hard brings to life a theatrical world that delves deep into the human experience and spectacle of romantic love. Falling Hard is the sixth iteration of TLE, originally produced by the theater’s resident artists Chuck Lacson and Raf Lim in 2006. TLE showcases the vibrant arts and culture of Bindlestiff Studio’s community while fostering the emerging talents of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Embodied Storytelling Intensive

facilitated by Sammay Dizon

DALUYAN: Embodied Storytelling Intensive is an in-depth weekly workshop process that investigates the ancestral memory that lives within our corporeal being through movement, writing, and performance ritual - facilitated by Sammay Dizon. How do we cultivate a relationship of healing to our personal and intergenerational traumas in order to realize our most whole Self? How can we thereby access the inherent joy and ancestral resilience that already lives inside of us? From mid-February to early May 2019, participants will gather 2x/week (mostly Fridays at 6-9pm and Sundays at 2-5pm) to explore how one can interweave these forms in service to our healing of Self, Lineage, and Community. This intensive process is intended for both the artist and the non-artist identifying and will culminate in a public performance at Bindlestiff Studio. Participants will also be invited to be a part of a process-oriented documentary by Solitaire Miguel that will follow Dizon's methodologies and the cultivation of the collective knowledge body through this work.
