Dates: Feb 15 - May 5
Deadline extended to Feb 14th, 11:59pm to register for DALUYAN: Embodied Storytelling Intensive, an in-depth weekly workshop process that investigates the ancestral memory that lives within our corporeal being through movement, writing, and performance ritual - facilitated by Sammay Dizon. How do we cultivate a relationship of healing to our personal and intergenerational traumas in order to realize our most whole Self? How can we thereby access the inherent joy and ancestral resilience that already lives inside of us? From mid-February to early May 2019, participants will gather 2x/week (mostly Fridays at 6-9pm and Sundays at 2-5pm) to explore how one can interweave these forms in service to our healing of Self, Lineage, and Community. This intensive process is intended for both the artist and the non-artist identifying and will culminate in a public performance at Bindlestiff Studio. Participants will also be invited to be a part of a process-oriented documentary by Solitaire Miguel that will follow Dizon's methodologies and the cultivation of the collective knowledge body through this work.
