The show featuring short plays about love, heartache, and the weirdness in between returns to SF’s SoMa Pilipinas in February
Bindlestiff Studio, the nation's only theater dedicated to showcasing Filipino-American and Pilipino performing arts located in the heart of the South of Market, is bringing back the love with its most celebrated show of short original plays to be staged for The Love Edition: Time After Time, February 9-25, 2017. Mounted as a variety show mixing comedy and drama through the lens of experimental media, The Love Edition (TLE) will capture complex narratives and experiences about love and relationships.
TLE’s theme this year spotlights melodramas throughout the ages. Tales of the star-crossed and lovelorn have captivated generations of audiences across the world through soap operas, teleseryes, telenovelas, Korean dramas and the like. TLE invites audience members to embrace, critique, honor, and reinvent the emotional spectacle of the melodrama genre.
